NBA: Nets vs. Warriors

The Brooklyn Nets will kick off the regular season on Tuesday, December 22 when they host the Golden State Warriors. The Nets will be looking to get an early win out of this match, and it is very likely they will do just that. The Nets have a significantly better team.

They finished 7th in the NBA Eastern Conference last season with a 35-37 record. This was enough to get them into the playoff bubble, but they did not last long. They lost their opening round series 4-0 to the 2019 champions, the Toronto Raptors.

Since their playoff stint, the Nets have made few changes to their roster. They are currently missing power forward Nicolas Claxton due to a shoulder injury. Claxton is in his second season with the Nets since being drafted into the NBA in 2019.

The Warriors had a rough go last season. They finished last in the Western Conference with a 15-50 record. The Warriors made five trades ahead of this season, though much of their former roster is now gone, so they may be in for another bottom of the standings finish this season. The bright side is they will be in a good position to receive a first round draft pick for the 2021-2022 draft.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Golden State Warriors betting lines are here on PowerPlay.com. The Nets opened the preseason with a 119-114 win over the Washington Wizards, with forward Rui Hachimura and guard Raul Neto bringing in 18 and 17 points respectively.

The Nets have one more preseason match to go, which will be against the Boston Celtics on December 18. The Warriors hosted the Denver Nuggets at the start of the preseason and just barely squeezed out a win, finishing two points ahead at 107-105. They will play two more preseason games, both on the road against the Sacramento Kings, before taking on the Nets.
